Coil feeding has many advantages over traditional sheet feeding. A coil feeder allows for faster swapping of gauges on your cutting table. Rather than having an operator manually switch to a sheet of a different gauge, the coil feeder can store and feed many different gauges of material at the flick of a switch. This allows for just one employee to perform all of the feeding and cutting operations. Coil feeding is also less expensive than sheet feeding. Coiled materials are cheaper to produce and transport than buying by the sheet. Additionally, coil feeding reduces scrap by only feeding the exact amount of material needed to the cutting table. Finally, coiled materials store much more efficiently than sheets.
