Product Obsolescence Notification: Lockformer Vulcan Controls

For many years, Lockformer has supplied advanced control systems for Vulcan Cutting Tables, both Plasma and Waterjet. These controls have contributed significantly to productivity improvements for our customers, and we remain committed to supporting our installed base across all platforms, past and present.

However, as with all electronic systems, component obsolescence presents ongoing challenges to service and support. From time to time, we must formally notify customers when a product can no longer be supported due to discontinued hardware or software.

Effective immediately, the following controls will no longer be supported under any circumstances.

• Creonics D6 or Creonics 128K, also referred to as the Allen Bradley D6 or Allen Bradley 128K.
• North East Electronics, also referred to as the AMC-4 Cutter I and AMC-4 Cutter II.
• Logosol (equipped with LS-182-2010 or LS-131-2010 servo drives).
• BR Automation Windows XP Pro.
• Hypertherm Edge Pro with Windows XP Embedded.
• Any non-OEM (used) replacement components for those listed.

Replacement hardware and operating systems are no longer available through the supply chain. Despite our best efforts to extend product life, these control systems are now more than 25 years old.

We understand that this notice may cause concern for machine owners. Given the age of these systems, we recommend evaluating options for a new machine equipped with a modern control platform to ensure continued reliability, serviceability, and performance.
