Mike Bailey named VP of Sales and Product Management

Stewart Reed, Vice Chairman and COO of Mestek, Inc., and R. Bruce Dewey, President, Mestek Machinery, Inc. are pleased to announce that Mike Bailey of Cummings, Georgia, will be joining the Mestek Machinery domestic sales team effective December 1, 2010. Mike returns to Mestek Machinery after about five years away.

Mike previously spent his career bringing productive machinery solutions to the duct shop world with NB Handy, Lockformer and IPI. Mr. Dewey stated, “We are very pleased to have Mike’s exceptional sales skills and experience back on our team. Mike’s preparation, relationship-building, knowledge, energy and sheer will are a force of nature that will advance our sales efforts immeasurably.” Mr. Reed added, “We welcome Mike back to the duct shop marketplace and look forward to our mutual success.”

Mike has been appointed and will serve as Vice President – Sales and Product Management. He will handle sales and dealer relationships in the eastern half of the United States and Canada. Scott Husbands, Regional Sales Manager, will assist him in those efforts. Also, Mike will head Mestek Machinery’s Market Advisory activities that sort, analyze and prioritize market needs and trends to inform and direct product improvement activities, new product development, and sales strategy.

Mike will report directly to Mr. Dewey. He, along with Dick Burkart, Vice President – Sales and Sales Administration and Mr. Dewey will collectively direct all sales/marketing activity of Mestek Machinery in North America for automated duct shop machinery assisted by Rian Scheel, Director of Sales who will focus on the roll out of our dealer portal, Sales Assistant, and Vulcan HVAC Cutting System sales.
