If you missed the previous post in our AHR 2018 blog series, you can find it here.

The Whisperloc PRO-XVI by Iowa Precision Industries is equipped with push button motor controls for quick-change duct lengths. The Whisperloc PRO-XVI is a method to quietly close a Pittsburgh seam without the use of a noisy air hammer.  The use of a chain drive supports closing the Pittsburgh seam in heavier gauge material, up to 16 gauge.

whisperloc close upThe Whisperloc PRO-XVI  closes duct work – whether Pittsburgh or slip and drive – seams in a fraction of the time, from 26 to 16 gauge. A motorized control moves the clamp and slide block, as a unit, for faster one handed set- up. Users experience greatly reduced noise levels, and minimal floor space is required. This machine is Microprocessor controlled for ease of operation

Unlike competitive models that require extensive manual hammer over in Pittsburgh and full-length hammer over of at least 45″ slip and drive.

The Whisperloc closes seams in ducts only requiring a minimal of hammer over top and bottom to assure straight and complete seaming. Seams from top and bottom to the middle to avoid run out and incomplete seaming.
