Fabriduct NEO Full Coil Line: Optimized for Prefabrication
Prefabrication and pre-assembling ductwork in a controlled environment prior to shipping leads to better quality, just in time fabrication, less inventory on the job site, and a significant reduction in labor costs. In fact, duct prefabrication is becoming essential for modern HVAC jobs, from data centers to battery plants, pharmaceuticals, and more. This is why the Fabriduct NEO Full Coil Line was designed with this trend in mind.
First, the Fabriduct NEO was designed to eliminate lengthy gauge changeovers, redefining how coil lines handle multiple materials and gauges. With smart coil handling, the machine automatically decoils and recoils, up to twelve uncoilers accommodating up to five coil widths with a gauge capacity from 16 to 26 gauge, with precision control from the correct coil station as needed in one minute compared to the 10-15 minutes typical of other coil lines.
Additionally, the material memory system provides automatic recall of straightening and beading parameters per gauge thickness and stepper motors measure torque and sense material thickness at the entry guide. The guides auto-position and adjust in real time and the dual-head cleat roller and TDC/TDF duplex roll former automatically configure for the required gauge and width. This automatic multi-gauge operation allows the line to produce a job with multiple gauges with no manual intervention for the ultimate in production precision, flexibility, and productivity.
Additionally, both the Fabriduct NEO and the Iowa Precision Pro-Fabriduct Full Coil Line are the only HVAC coil lines in the industry with a true full-width “X” “Y” cutting bed In-Line Plasma Cutting System.
Additional Features
The Iowa Precision Neo Duct line features include automated data transfer to eliminate manual data entry and real-time control software tracks material position and adjustments throughout the process. Control features include coil lead edge detection that eliminates references or crop cut, automated coil width measurement and adjustment of all guides, notchers, and rollformers, and sheet metal positioning that is referenced before braking to guarantee perfectly straight duct. The line incorporates active beading technology to eliminate stresses when forming the duct in the wrap break, which means more consistency and less twist in the finished duct sections.
The Dynamic Control system allows part tracking on the machine controller and remote tablet controller. The system includes an integrated labeling program with automated printer and pneumatic applicator built into the product processor for consistent tracking and identification. Control options include a wireless jog pendant and iPad or HMI interface. Additionally, built-in enhanced safety lock, fault messaging, and troubleshooting features ensure operator safety and simplify operation, maintenance, and material changes.
Open Architecture
The system includes the latest generation B&R Automation control system with modern remote diagnostics and control features including built-in download capabilities from most CAD/CAM systems and BIM modeling acceptance.
